Kitten Rescue

This four part illustration was produced for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators annual Narrative Art Award. The prompt for 2025 was: "Because this is the quarter-century mark since the Y2K scare, tell a story about something that turns out not to be a threat.”

This is a story from the perspective of a lost kitten in the rain. The threat appears to be a scary, looming shadow coming for them, but in the end the shadow is just a new friend trying to help.
