Contact
  • First confirm that I am available for your date. You can do that here if you haven’t already. The next step will be to schedule a consultation to discuss the details of your vision for your painting. Based on our consultation, I will send a contract your way for you to look over. After sending the contract over I will hold your date for up to 2 weeks until a 20% deposit is made. After your deposit is paid your date will officially be booked!

  • I will be supplying my own equipment including my own easel, painting materials, light, and drop cloth.

As for the venue I require a 5’×5’ space for painting. This includes space at both the ceremony and the reception. Preferably somewhere with a clear view of the scene I will be painting.

A nearby power outlet is essential to plug in my light and to keep the phone I use to view photos of your wedding as reference throughout the painting process.

The venue should also be aware and approve of having a live painter on their site.

If you’re not sure your venue meets these requirements reach out to me at aslackta@gmail.com and we can possibly discuss a solution!

  • Yes, I require some kind of meal. Whether it’s a made-to-order meal, access to the buffet, or however the guests at the wedding are eating.

I will be with you on your wedding day for 6-8 hours and will need some kind of access to food and a 30-minute break.

  • I use a mix of professional-grade acrylic and water-based oils paints. Due to acrylic’s fast drying speed, it allows me to get started on your painting without the need for long dry times.

Water-based oils allow me to create a smooth painting with beautiful details without the need for the specific ventilation requirements traditional oils demand.

  • I’m located in Genesee County Michigan and I offer my services to any venue within a 2 hour distance free of travel expenses.

This includes Detroit/Metro-Detroit, Mid-Michigan, Lansing, Flint, and Bay City.

  • Standard pricing does not include travel costs.

I would love to travel for your wedding! I do require coverage for travel expenses anywhere more than 2 hours from my studio in Genesee County Michigan.

More than a 2 hour drive requires a $150 hotel fee and stipend for gas.

More than a 4 hour drive requires a $300 hotel fee for a 2-night stay and a stipend for gas. Only available for Saturday weddings.

More than an 8 hour drive requires air travel as well as a $300 hotel fee. Airfare includes the cost of a round trip ticket with insurance with two checked bags and one carry-on. I will book any flights myself. Only available for Saturday weddings.

  • After completing as much painting as I can at your event, I will require additional time in the studio to make your painting as perfect as you deserve. I also require time to allow the painting to fully dry and apply varnish. This protects your painting for decades to come.

It can take 3-4 weeks after your wedding for your painting to be ready to ship. Shipping expenses will be added to the final invoice. Genesee County residents are welcome to set up an exchange in-person to negate shipping costs.

Additional time may become necessary but not without notice.

  • Paintings do not come framed.

All paintings are painted on gallery-wrapped canvas with a 1.5 bar. The sides of the canvas will be fully painted making framing optional.

Canvases will come wired and ready for you to hang hassle free.
